One of my friends that lived here picked up all the junk mail he got one day and said in a jokingly half frustrated tone, "For as earth friendly and green conscious as we are as a country we sure kill a lot of trees on junk mail!"
This is about the daily amount of junk mail and catalogs we receive.
Now i am not making a judgment call, just an observational question, but "Is all of this junk mail really necessary?!?

So annoying!
So how does that compare to the US?
And remember, it's only going to get worse as we get closer to Christmas.
And, if you're really wanting to be green, just write "No Circulars" or "No Junk Mail" on your letter box.
Junk mail provided me with steady income as a youngster, so I have a soft spot for it. Of course I used to do the neighbours a favour and dump the lot & not actually deliver it... oops.
The only problem is that Jonathan is that from what Greg says, the boxes with "no junk mail" actually get the double amount just in smite sometimes! but that is a good suggestion. Rachel, you were a newsie?!?
Newsie??? If that's an Americanism for poor little girl who can only find work delivering junk mail, then yep! And proud :)
