Future- Verses I Need to Hear

I read through Proverbs and needed to right down a few verses that stuck out to me about future. It has been good to hear these verses in the midst of everything. The update on the accident is this...

Saturday Church picnic

the accident is looking like the repairs are going to set us back quite a little bit. Sad, but still at peace that there is purpose in that happening and hope Dan or i has a good chance to witness to this guy!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or the left,; keep your foot from evil

For a man's ways are in full view of the Lord and he examines all his paths. Prov 5:21

Pastor Mike on the BBQ
To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the reply of the tongue. All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord. commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed. The Lord works out everything for his own ends- even the wicked for a day of disaster...In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. Proverbs 16:1-4,7

Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails. Prov 19:21

Now listen, you who say, "today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business adn make money," Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? you are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "if it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." As it is, you boast and brag. all such boasting is evil. Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it sins. James 4:13-17

Brent, Elisabeth Elliot said, "As a college student I worried much about whether I would fail to follow the Shepherd, would be deaf to His call. I thought it such a bewildering matter. It is not a worry anymore. Experience has taught me that the Shepherd is far more willing to show His sheep the path than the sheep are to follow. He is endlessly merciful, patient, tender, and loving. If we, His stupid and wayward sheep, really want to be led, we will without fail be led. Of that I am sure. When we need help, we wish we knew somebody who is wise enough to tell us what to do, reachable when we need him and even able to help us. God is. Omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent--everything we need." Lovingly, Dara
